Does my split air solenoid valve effect my mpg any?
Scanned my 1990 Mazda RX-7 (Non-turbo) for codes. The code was for my split air solenoid valve. What is that, and does it effect my mpg any? I think its just emissions but I’m not sure.
I put a vacuum gauge and its reading at around 17 idle. That’s a little low, does that mean I’m leaking vacuum pressure? Or could it be just because it’s an old car its low compression… What should I take out?
If it is leaking vacuum pressure it will, I know sometimes those little pieces on rx-7′s can be really expensive, I would take it out and try to cap the vacuum lines around it.
