how do i install a cd player deck in 89 pontiac grand prix when it has factory radio in it?
you need to first remove the trim around the factory radio and pull the radio out. Then you need to go to a store that sells car audio stuff (Wal-Mart even has them) and buy an adaptor kit and wiring harness that is made for your car. That should cost you anywhere between 10 and 30 dollars. you will need to connect the new wiring harness to the wires from the new radio which you just match the colors up and then follow the directions on the adaptor kit and hook it up. Its pretty easy and will take about an hour or less.
