why has the CO2 readings on my Vauxall Zafria gone off the clock on its MOT, although it runs perfect,?
the motor goes well, its done 80,000 mls, no smoke, been told it can be the probe {by Vauxall garage] or cat faulty{thats 3mths old at quick fit} vauxall said probe is rusted in exhaust manifold so its capput, quoted £4oo with no guarantee, help. Pte.

but honestly, £400 for a flimsy O2 sensor haha!! i would never take my car to that garage again, even if some 1 paid me too!!
just to elaborate on Popeye’s answer, it should cost no more than £100 to get your problem fixed, this includes the price of the sensor, plus a little labour, i have fitted many a O2 sensors, for or around this price.
i would suggest that you buy a “lucas” O2 sensor, in my experience, without including original manufactures parts, in your case vauxhall, they are the “rolls royce” of O2 sensors.
they come in either 2. 3. or 4 wire types, and come complete with either the connector plug, or wire terminals, if you fit it yourself then remember to get the coloured wires connected properly, black to black, white to white etc etc. i cant remember off the top of my head but i know on the 4 wire types there is 2 wires with the same colour, it does not matter which one goes to which, but just make sure that it is the correct colour to colour, (for example, White 1, could fit to White 2, aswell as White 1, White 2 could fit to White 1 aswell as White 2), hope that makes sense.
